Amina and Ahmed
A long time ago, there was a village in the city of Songhai. In this village, there were two young children, maybe eight years old, and they were the best of friends. Their names were Amina and Ahmed. Amina was a shy and quiet little girl who only spoke to her mom and Ahmed. Ahmed was your typical eight year old boy, full of energy and non-stop talking. He brought out the best in Amina and made her happy. They would play games like hide-and-seek and tag all around the village. Everyone knew who they were and loved them like their own child.
When the pair got into their teen years, they still had a strong bond. They would have each other’s back when one was in trouble. Their parents knew that one day they would get married, and they did. It was a beautiful day in the village and Ahmed took Amina on a picnic. He proposed to her and she said, “Absolutely, yes!” Ahmed and Amina were the happiest people in the whole city. They eventually had a child in which they named Tahrik. Tahrik was a happy little boy with lots of energy just like his father, Ahmed, except he loved to get into trouble! He loved to take gold from the gold shop, but wouldn’t get away with it. Luckily, Ahmed was a close friend with the shop owner and got to give back the stolen gold without any trouble.
One night, Amina and Ahmed went to sleep, but never woke up again. This tragedy struck the whole village and was very hard for Tahrik. The memory of Amina and Ahmed will live on through their beloved son, Takrik.
